Can I shrink the Zazzle affiliate link and still get my cut? - Chris - 04-08-2014 04:14 AM

If I shorten the Zazzle affiliate link so I can tweet it out, will I still get my cut of the money from Zazzle? When I went on the tinyurl website it says that tinyurl would take the money. What if I shrink the link using Hootsuite or something? Will I still get my 15% cut?

Cheers people 8-)

You should still get your cut.

Do consider the incentive for these link shorteners to provide the service, you would hope they are just collecting traffic statistics that might be sold to some data services, but they are in a position to copy (steal) successful marketing campaigns that have lots of traffic, which is an indication that the campaign is a success.

You sure will, Chris. The link will ultimately be the same so using shortening services won't affect the destination, or your affiliate trackbacks. If in doubt, use an affiliate link cloaker. Happy to point you in the right direction if needed...
