You cannot reinstall it because you cannot uninstall it.
You can however reset it if it is being interfered with by an add-on;

You can also use the command sfc /scannow to repair a corrupt Windows installation, note that there is a space between the c and the /;

But Microsoft has a software fix for most things that might be worth a look, and IE is included;
