Storenvy is not a scam. It is a legitimate business launched in 2008. Techcrunch says that it has received $6.53M in funding
I would say is is more a direct competitor of Shopify and Etsy, rather than eBay. Unlike eBay, Storenvy does not have an auction marketplace so it competes directly only with eBay Stores.
While both allows you to create online stores, Etsy focuses on handcrafted items, while Storenvy focuses on "unique" items
