I need some idea for a website name.? - Chris - 04-08-2014 04:26 AM

Im trying to start a gaming website, with forums, and whatnot... I know the market is quite over saturated by as time progresses I want to add things that many others lack. My main problem is coming up with a name. I'm stumped because many of the ones that I have come up with are taken.
Well will, I have a team of about 7 people that are going to help me out with this. This website was going to have the basics, walkthroughs, gameplay, forums, and so fourth but some ideas that were being tossed around were making gitch guides for each games, how to fix them if you get stuck in one, Live streams, user uploadable content (Of course its controlled), clan challenges, and a few more but were going to meet for more discussion. Also if you guys and gals have any ideas i would also love to hear them.
Im trying to host it through wordpress seeing how the new updated version seems to be working much better for this purpose. I was basically going to embed youtube vids. in case anyone is curious as to what its looking like, Im working on it right now with on domain i already have. http://gaming.thingsofelpaso.com. That domain has nothing to do with this. im just using it for now

There are sites with tools that help you come up with fictitious names, including: wordlab.com, naming.net, wordoid.com, lingzini.com, namestation.com, domainsBot.com some of these tools look up the domain name availability as you go.

If you find an available .com name, there's a high probability that it' not a trademarked name.

Registrars like Godaddy or NameCheap have bulk lookup services where you can try a list of domain name ideas at a time.

Don't try those naming sites. It's a comp gen list of mix-matched words, most of which don't even fit together or make sense together. Gimme some more info on what makes your site different and incorporate those key elements into the name.

Go ahead, pay all 10 of those sites. My name will beat all 10 of them put together. If I generate the best name, get a refund & pay me 10% of what you paid them.

How about PLAYHERE, GAMEWORLD, PLAYIN.

All the best for your new website and happy new year.
