Why submit website URLs to multiple search engines? - Boriss - 04-08-2014 04:26 AM

If I submit to google, my website is searchable in Yahoo, Bing and Ask searches. Is there a reason why I need to submit my urls to all of them?

NO -- submitting websites to search engines was cool in the 1990s. Nowadays, you don't have to do that as search engines have become smart and can detect websites.

What you can do are:

1 - create social network profile for your website, especially Google+. You can create a profile for yourself, and then add in your Profile information your website URL
2 - get links to your website
3 - sign up for Google Webmaster Tool and Bing Webmaster Tool. That will quickly alert search engines of the existence of your site. Be sure to submit your sitemap so search engines will know what pages you have on your site

And please, do not pay for website submission services. They're useless.
