New to using Twitter, help!? - Thomas H - 09-30-2012 11:34 PM So I'm new to twitter and want to know what the deal is with the minus numbers when you are writing a comment or direct message?? Like when you start writing the number is like 50 or something and as you type it drops to 0 and the goes to -50 etc. etc. Are you only able to send a message of a certain length?? Thanks! - Jeff - 09-30-2012 11:42 PM YEs, it means how many characters you have left in a post. you can't go negative or else it wont let you post it - Katherine - 09-30-2012 11:42 PM there is a character limit. you cant type more than 140 characters. 140 characters is the maximum. ther minus numbers just show you how many characters you have left so you dont overwrite - David - 09-30-2012 11:42 PM you're only allowed to post a 150 word tweet as you type the number of words you use the numbers will go down so if you get to like -50 you cant post that big of a tweet. - youasked! - 09-30-2012 11:42 PM That's why Facebook is better. |
