I dont get it. i know you have to have good feedback score, specific keywords and a good titles and all that BS, but so many times do i see people with a 2 feedback score or something and have the most basic listing on earth show up on the best match listings while im doing everything i can to make a perfect listing, yet i cant freaking find it on ebay. WHAT AM I MISSING HERE?

You need to be selling what buyers search for.
If I go searching for a 42-inch big-screen television, I sure as hell don't want results for people selling baseball cards, beds, aquariums, or pet turtles.
