Mainly, companies related to Fashion, Beauty,Cosmetics, Health, Manufacturing, Production based industries host their site at godaddy but the tech related companies host their site away from godaddy, they generally host at Hostgator, Reprise Hosting, Bluehost or site5.

A lot of companies are hosted on GoDaddy, however the hosting control panel is garbage and their customer service is not the best.
Personally I prefer hostmonster as a web host because their customer service is priceless.
