Most of my friends don't have this show up on their Contact Info. It seems redundant to have the URL of the page you are already on as a way to contact me.

It appears that it is there by default, and cannot be removed

You cannot hide your facebook profile URL in the contact info because there is no option available through which you can set the visibility preference.
