Is Stubhub.com trustworthy? - Sam Cooley - 04-08-2014 04:33 AM

I live in England and I am travelling to New York, and will obviously want to see a Yankee game. However on the Yankees website the tickets are pretty much sold out. When I look on stubhub, there is five times as many tickets and at half the price for the same day (8.4.14 Vs Baltimore) Are they trustworthy? I'm asking this as I don't want to get to New York and end up not having tickets for a game, as this could be an only opportunity for me.

I've used Stubhub a number of times in my trips to the US and have never had a problem.

Yes. I use it all the time to buy tickets here in America and I've never had a problem. By far the cheapest place to buy MLB tickets online.

I wouldn't as a New Yorker I find it really expensive because he person selling the tickets wants to make a profit my best advice would be to go directly to the events' website and buy tickets from there for example my Yankee tickets cost about 900 a ticket for the season behind the dugout , but I sell them on stub hub for 900 a piece for that game

Yes it is a trustworthy price. However, keep in mind, that you may pay a little more considering that Derek Jeter is retiring so people want to make a profit on this.

Hey Sam,

Thanks for your interest in StubHub! In addition to what other fans have said above, we also offer a rock solid FanProtect Guarantee to help ensure you receive valid tickets. Since we are a marketplace like eBay and the tickets on our site are owned and priced by other fans, it's perfectly normal to see prices different than face value.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via email at teamstubhub@stubhub.com, or find us on Twitter @StubHub. Thanks again for your interest, and have safe travels!

Sincerely,
