I am doing my Business Studies Homework and the question says
'In your opinion, what might have been the two best ways for Dairy Crest to encourage customers to trail Cathedral City Mild?'

Best way to trail a product? Tie it to the back of your car.
Best way to trial a product? Free samples handed out for tasting in supermarkets, or possibly a two for the price of one promotion.

advertise your product by telling the benefits of it on net by putting paid ads on sites so that it is seen by everyone, on paper by making pamphlets and giving it to shopkeepers to distribute the pamphlets.
