If you follow a someone with a private page and follow then unfollow quickly (bc I followed by accident) will they see you tried to follow?
Also right after I changed my IG profile name, does that change when that person sees who tried to follow-- like do they see my new name?
Let's just say me and this kid aren't the "bestest" of friends!

yes it will say but when they try to accept it it won't work

I'm pretty sure that if you quickly unfollow them, the request will disappear. Also, if you change your username, it changes on everything except tags.
Let's say you wanted to follow this person; if you changed your username from "that_girl" to "that_guy", it would come up as "that_guy wants to follow you". Hope this makes sense!
