Does the internet keep online purchases private? - FearlessMaster665 - 04-08-2014 04:39 AM

When someone buys something online, do they send information to people or companies in the same area as you? And if they do where would they send info and what would they do with it?

Thanks for the help

The Internet has nothing to do with your purchase privacy. That depends on the companies you are dealing with. Some companies sell the info, some don't. You have to check with the company to find out.

If you use Google than they track your emails, your web history, and they datamine everything to sell you ads.

If you buy an app from the Google Play store, Google sends your full name, email, and neighborhood to the developer.
I believe it's similar with the App Store

Online Shopping (aside from Google's datamining) is up to the company if they sell it or not.

TL;DR lots of things you do on your computer are trackable, so if you're trying to buy something secretly don't underestimate anything.

all depends on the company you are ordering from, but the safe answer is NO....NSA is all over everything.

Yes definitely they keep your purchasing private..as they don't even bother what you are ordering.they are working just as medium between you and the company of which you are ordering the product..for this they get some money as well name through which they get traffic on their website...
