i checked my yahoo mail someone tried hacking into my Facebook by typing in my name in forgot password and verifying a friend then sent a verify to my email account, fortunately it was unsuccessful and they did not get into my Facebook but can i trace it to have them arrested?

1. No one will ever be arrested for this as no crime was committed.
2. It's not "hacking" just to put a name and password into a log-in screen. Even a 2-year-old can do that.
3. To know whom it was, you'd have to have the IP address of the computer that tried, then figure out who had access to it. My guess is you cannot do this.

There is no way to do so.
But if any, then it will be very complicated.

No You Can Not Trace it Only Facebook Admin and the Police Can Trace It Down You Would Need a IP Address Which Only the Police and Facebook Admin Can Track it Down Even if you Got the IP Address You Would Only Be Able to Get there ISP And City and State you Would Not Be Able to Get the Address Info
