I really need more Twitter followers. I had an account with 1500+ on it but that acct got deleted. I thought getting followers was easy, but now it seems tough.
Any suggestions to get me more followers?

How does following you benefit your followers? Do you think people want to tag up with someone who has nothing going on in their lives? People want to follow interesting other people and companies and news agencies.
Create your usefulness and you will get plenty of followers. Otherwise you will be deleted as a spammer again.

You get followers on Twitter by following others. However, you want to follow people who are interested in the things that you are interested in. Therefore, you want to make a list of things that you are interested in or a list of things that you will be primarily discussing via your Twitter page and then find people who are tweeting about those things.
Once you have your list, sign-up for this free Twitter application (see link below) that will allow you to set-up your list of keywords and follow up to 30 people who are tweeting about them. There is a strong possibility that these people will follow you back because of a shared interest.
You also want to watch your followers to follow ratio. The link to the free application below will help you with all of this. I have four accounts with over 50,000 followers (total), so I speak from experience.

I find a great way to get followers is to join a Twitter train. You sign up to the site, follow people. Once you've follow them, you're added to the train, and new people follow you. Give this one a try: http://targetfollowers.com
