many people think they 'know' what google wants. But actually google never says what it 'wants' to anyone - no body knows. So It's hard doing SEO
What we can do is look at websites that rank on page 1 and see what they have done to achieve that.
If you do that then you'll find that they outsource - they get experts to do it. This can cost $1000s, but if you know where to look you can get it for 1 cent

Best technique for on-page optimization is to keep updating your site/blog's content with fresh, interesting, people-friendly content that is unique and intelligently using keywords and keyphrases in it. Don't stuff the content with keywords, just using keywords in titles and a few times in the content in such a way that it is a part of what your content is about is great. Other than that, use meta-tags and update your file names and picture names to match keywords. Optimize your robots.txt file for search engine indexing and that should do the trick.
On-page unique keywords content is the best way to generate good organic traffic and one that would help you in the future to get more traffic.
