I havent been on facebook for long but when i go on a friends profile i click learn more but there's no green button that says get timeline and the same happens when i write timeline into the top bar on facebook and i have tried different browsers
please help

clear your cache, then go here
http://facebook.com/about/timeline
then click the green button at the bottom
you can go here to learn how to set it up

if you dont see the button, try a different browser - if that doesnt work either, that means you just have to wait for it

Timeline will be rolled out to everyone eventually. You could check http://facebook.com/timeline to see if that helps get you it faster.
