He hosts a show at a local news channel. He is not exactly a big celebrity, but he is quite famous. He has also confirmed on T.V. that this is actual Facebook account. He also has a fan page on Facebook but that's separate from his personal account. I am one of his fans who has been talking to him for over 6 months now through Facebook. I am just wondering, why did he go ahead and add me to his personal account? Why would he do that when he already has a Facebook page and a twitter account where he interacts with his fans already?
I am 24 and he is around 30 btw. We have never met though. I am thinking of finding a way to meet him. What do you guys think? Could he be interested? Should I make the effort of meeting him or will I be wasting my time?

He"s probably looking to network and expand his social-professional circle and looks at you as one possible channel to do that.
