How can I stop advertising column on r/h side of my yahoo page, which cuts off part of the page I am viewing? - Raymond Phillips - 04-08-2014 10:03 AM

Unwanted ads column obliterates part of the page, making requested pages impossible to read.

Switch to a browser (eg Firefox) that has the ability to suppress the adverts = in the case of Firefox, that's the 'AbBlock Plus' plug-in ..

.. if you do use Firefox, the 'Flash Block' and 'NoScript' plug-ins are also good to have = these prevent sties from launching multi-media crap without your permission and block 'animated' Java script 'by default' as well ..

You will find your browsing experienced enhanced when you are not being bombarded by adverts, music./video and Java 'pop-ups' every time you visit a new site ...
