Does Time Warner Cable's internet suck and is it a good idea to switch to Century Link? - shawn - 04-08-2014 03:51 PM

Just about 2 weeks ago we bought 30 mbps internet and cable for 79.95. But just two days after, we have been getting internet speeds of only 1-5 mbps. We are testing century links internet with 10 mbps and we get what we pay for. Does anyone else experience this problem. Is it the area I live in? Or is it just Time Warner need to give up on having internet?
The price for century links was only 9.95 plus equipment rental. If we needed the modem or wireless router

okay, so you are really REALLY overpaying for both of those service providers, and both have an EXTREMELY bad reputation. they are known for throttling (slowing down your internet). go for brighthouse, or verizon, if either of them are available. but you in bright house, you get 60 mbps for 80$ and btw, their best plan has speeds of up to 100mbps, thats the plan i'm on, speed for the win!
