Does movie title comes under domain copyright infringement? - sebootyAK47 - 04-08-2014 06:15 PM

I recently purchased a .org domain name say movietitle4.org. The 3 parts of the movie has already released and the 4th part is expected to release by next year. Now i'm afraid does that violates the copyright infringement law? As per my findings internet it says movie title doesn't comes under copyright infringement. But the .com and other extensions are already registered and are up for resale. Help me!

Names like that are not under copyright law, but rather trademark law. If you're attempting to register a name of something that is already a trademark of someone else, to use in ways that create a likelihood of confusion among the customers, you can get in trouble.

If you're not actually using the name, and not holding it for ransom, there is really nothing they can do about it.
