Black screen with the text "Website Blocked by Filter"? - Amber Durazo - 04-08-2014 06:17 PM

I didn't block any websites on my computer, and proxys or whatever won't help because no matter what if you're using my wifi then you can't use the websites that are blocked. Seriously all I wanna do is go on Tumblr and I can't even Google it or go onto anything with "tumblr" in the link. Dad says it's the internet provider and there's nothing he can do about it, which is total bullshit because he admitted he hasn't even tried. I'm so frustrated and I need to know how to unblock websites that are blocked by the web filter.

Dad did it. He doesn't want you on there.

I think you've got parental controls at work here. You won't be able to undo them without access to the account that set them up. As a parent, however, I will tell you that blocking software can have a mind of it's own and block sites regardless of them being set to "safe". I had terrible issues with allowing my kid's gaming sites (like Neopets, etc.) when they were young. He might be frustrated with other stuff and this is just one more thing on his plate. Maybe ask if you can sit down with him and try to figure it out together and explain why you want to be on tumblr and why it's not a dangerous site. Good luck!

Have you tried opening those sites on other browsers? Yes sometimes it can happen because of the browser also. In another case you can use private proxy to open website which you are not able to open in normal circumstances. That will definitely help.

My spouse and i suggest using http://www.vpnpower.net to be able to unblock internet sites. I've been using them since four years.
