He said ambient and I definitely havent misread, I'm so confused

Ambient products are those such as flour,crisps, chocolate etc.......basically anything which doesn't require chilling or freezing.

So is your newsagent. Ambient simply means surrounding, all around, encircling. It is an adjective - so it has to be ambient something. Possibly he means ambiance - meaning a pleasant atmosphere. Whatever the newsagent thinks he is offering, he must have got his words mixed up.

Maybe he can't spell very well and meant to say "am bent".
