I have recently created this site : http://www.flooringfourless.com. I had been doing website designing since quite sometime but have no idea about how to do SEO. Please help me getting started. Maybe some forum or some pdf or some technique. Anything and everything would do.

You could purchase backlinks thats what i do
It helps rank up in google.

Backlinks, you have to find some high pr sites, forums, blogs.... anything where you can live a comment or a link. You can also bookmark your pages... since it is a local business just make sure you submit it to your local directories to create citations which are good backlinks. I might have an ebook about backlinking, just send me an email.

The article indicated by Tommy are worth reading they will help you a lot in this regard. i personally read all of them before i was starting to implement SEO process. apart from that try to watch videos they will further help you, and simply try to search for websites with high PR's and good standing for back linking

There is more to SEO then link building, but there are loads of ways you can get backlinks.
1- blogging
2- article marketing in sites like squidoo
3- social bookmarking all your content in site like Stummbleupon and Digg
3- Social networking
4- blog comments on relevant blogs
5- Wikipedia
6- Forums
7- Directories
8- video marketing

Google some blogs everyday that are relevant to your business. Post your posts on bi daily or daily basis. Leave your link and keyword at the end. This will do.
