You could dive into the deep end and watch the Whiteboard Fridays videos at SEOmoz, be aware a lot of the advanced concepts are only meaningful to giant sites.

Nothing is free in this world my dear, but i can give your good resource for a low price, where your will find a complete SEO course which is well tested after latest google panda and penguin updates and it is working well for me, now i am able to rank most of my sites on page one of google. You can check the source. I assure that this is not another fake guru product...

There is a ton of websites and videos online that can help you learn about SEO for free. You can also check out some forums such as warriorforums this is an excellent community with information about SEO and much more. I have been doing SEO for over 7 years and I have taught people over the years with my experience the best way to truly learn SEO is you just have to dive right into it.

When I say "dive" into it I don't mean go spend all your money. What I mean is you need to ask yourself what exactly you plan on doing with your website. How will it benefit to the internet community, Are you building a site for yourself? I suggest you come up with a plan and write down exactly what you want to do!

Goodluck!
