Ok, so i have just created an account using my Google account and i always see peoples profile pictures that are avatars, ive searched this question and it looks liek no-one has asked it in two years.. is there no more yahoo avatars?... again i am new here.....

While 'logged in' to Y! answers, right click your current avatar and "Open in new tab".
This should bring you to "My profile" page.
Click 'My Activity"> Edit my Preferences> Update photo avatar> tick "Add photo" on small window>
Next window (Upload photo), select "browse" button, and navigate to the photo you want, and select that (note that fotos usually have to be resized smaller, in order to be rendered correctly)> Enter the 'capcha' code> tick "Upload".
Give a few minutes for the process upload and posting, then go back to that "Select photo" window (as above), highlight the new photo & tick "Use selected photo", then ►► "Save" or follow prompts.
