Hello!
A friend recently told me about Omegle. I was concerned for her, because I am the type of person who is scared to be Tracked by the Stranger you are talking to, by IP Address' or something (like Amanda Todd).
Is this really possible? And how to be safe on chat sites like this?

No, you can't get the IP of the people you chat with on that site. Omegle is the middleman proxy between the two, ie, messages the two chatters send, go to Omegle first, then to the other person. There's no direct connection between the chatters.
Obviously it makes sense not to reveal any personal info, nothing you can be identified by.
