I had facebook since 2009 and used it ever since...I had my posts from my friends and everything just disappeared.? can this just be a problem facebook is fixing? please help

Click on the setting button where you usually click to logout. At the bottom of the list there's an option "Report a problem" . Click on that, choose "News Feed" then explain your problem and send it to facebook. It will take about a week to repair your server.
