Facebook privacy question!? - skunkaperecords - 04-08-2014 06:34 PM

My wife and I are in the process of starting a neighborhood watch Facebook community page but we would like to know if there is a way to set the privacy settings to not show postings or anything related to the friends of our community friends. So for example, we do not want anyone in our neighborhood group to be able to see happenings or postings of people not in our group such as their personal friends who are not in our group.

We just want it to be a page for people in our neighborhood to share stuff with each other but without getting bombarded with postings from 3rd party friends. Is there a way to set it up like this and if so what is it called or where do we go to set it up that way?

I guess a good way of phrasing the question would be if someone has multiple friends is there a way friends from one group or page cannot see their friends from another group or page?

Thanks!

Thank you so much!

Account > Privacy settings > Customize settings > ("Things others share") > Can see Wall posts by friends > customize.

Just create a closed Group and you be the administrator. It is so simple to do and you control who is in the closed group.
