shall my 'copy right be preserved by publishing my ideas in a website created by me? - Sudhakaran - 04-08-2014 06:36 PM - Steve D - 04-08-2014 06:41 PM Ideas cannot be patented or copyrighted...to copyright something it must be an original work (i.e., a book, movie script, etc.). To patent something (such as a car part, an underlying technology), you must produce some form of description (i.e., a prototype, a mechanical drawing) or the product. For example, you can't just say that you have an idea for a web site that does a, b, and c. Otherwise, Amazon would be the only seller on the internet (imagine being able to protect the idea of selling things online). |
