If i have a craigslist and i want to post a listing on it for (lets hypothetically say) virtually every city in the USA could i do that. If not then how could i do that./??

Craigslist will not let you do that. If you try, they will close your account. You can only sell things in one city since all sales must be done in person.
You would have to get a friend in each city to post the ad for you.
