Yeah we are dealing with backlinks since long.
Remember you are visinting and registering yourself at any other domain create backlinks.
These Days google is strict about backlinks, so work on author and your author should create backlinks and through authorship you should promote your website.

Else, Do Directory submission and social bookmarking will create good backlinks.
