I want to know the difference between on page and off page seo.. and what comes under these2 types .

as already mentioned, onsite is what you do on your own page, like keywords, tags, title, H1-H3, pictures, naming files with keywords and so on....
and offsite is whatever you do off the page, getting good quality backlinks is the most important one.

Simply put, On-page SEO is making changes and additions to your own site making it more SEO friendly. Such additions include, writing good unique content for your site, researching keywords for your site that people would use to look up your site on Google etc, and putting these keywords into your content intelligently, using meta tags, naming files and pictures intelligently with keywords etc, setting up robots.txt correctly for search engine indexing, etc.

Off-page SEO is making use of other sites, social media, forums, blogs etc for link building and submission and backlinking to generate traffic.

Both are important.

on page is on page is like all online submission process and off page is like change in website as per seach engine guildline ex. sitemap , tag etc.....
