I need help with my website? - Brian - 04-08-2014 06:45 PM

I have been posting comments on my website and I was wondering if that hurts your website ranking or helps?

Thanks,

Posting comment on own website never effect ranking. I just saw your website, it is based on clothing. So your comment will consider as review. Don't worry you can post comment on your website but with different user.

Do not post them in bulk as it will give negative impression. I would suggest you to search for some nice blogs related to your website theme and then comment on the same. Appreciate the blog post with nice comments and also publicize your website too. It will surely boost your website ranking.

I'm not sure that a small number of comments spaced out in time will be identified as self promotion. Comments probably just add text with no more value than your original article, they do provide more frequent content additions which the search engines like to do, but you would probably be just as well off spending that commenting time instead adding articles.

It is legit to write replies to comments which can help stimulate more discussion.
