How does twitter work? - Sweet Thang - 04-08-2014 06:45 PM

What does # mean? When would you use it?
What is the purpose of Twitter?
How do you know if the celebs are real or fake?

You use it to voice various opinions on anything, from daily news to what's on tv. Anything that comes to mind, you can tweet about.

# or 'hashtag' groups tweets together. For example, say I tweeted 'I love chocolate #fatty' and you tweeted 'I love sweets #fatty' our tweets would be listed in the same place. This is mainly used when people have opinions on tv programmes, by clicking on the hash tag, you can see what everyone else thinks about the same subject,

When 'celebrities' reach a certain 'status', they get verified. This means that a blue tick appears next to their name on their profile, and you know what it really is the person.

Twitter's lots of fun, enjoy it!

I don't really know, I've never used Twitter. It looks like a useless website to be a part of.
