Metro UI - How to help with search engine visibility? - Glenn - 04-08-2014 06:46 PM

We are developing a Metro UI design for a new website. We are considering rollover text to help explain images but are also wondering the effect of rollover text on SEO. WIll the rollover text be view by search engines the same as if the text was always visible on the home page vs only when the image is scrolled over?

Hi,

By Rollover text I take it you mean the description when someone moves the mouse over the image. If you want the search engines to recognize a keyword associated with image you will need to use the alt tag description. If it is just for the viewer then put what you want in the description box to guide the viewer.

ALT Tag = Search Engines
Description = Viewers

I hope that makes sense.

Cheers!
