What are some fundraising ideas? - Taylor - 04-08-2014 06:47 PM

i coach a team of like 20 girls for cheerleading and we want to do a lot of competitions including some out of state but we don't have hundreds of dollars we can just pull out of our pockets. what are some good fundraising ideas that actually work and is not too much to invest in??

I don't think the girls can legally earn the needed money, really I would think you have to rely on parents and team boosters. Perhaps making a case for the character development and possible performing arts career that cheer can provide would open a couple of more wallets. (it's doesn't rank too high on the charity scale)

It cold be a touchy issue, but selling a calendar like firemen do is a possibility, perhaps conservative photos with bio info and mini interviews.

Create a viral video about your cheer leading team in action or perhaps a tutorial... anything that provides valuable information or entertainment. Share it everywhere. Then ask for support or donations.
