Hi. I just made an account on ebay. N i saw couple of stuff im interested in. But its my first time n i dnt wana make a wrong purchase! N whats does it mean when ppl bid? If the price bidding starts from .99cents n some are like 9.00 n i see bids and ppl bid less then what it asks for. Do u loose money while bidding?

It's best to buy only from people who have pictures of the actual items. An auction that has this along with a very good amount of feedback as a seller (be sure to check that the feedback is as a seller, not just as a buyer) is what makes me pick one auction over another, even if the price is a few bucks more.

If they have bad feedback, I see what the complaint was. If it was for not delivering the item, I pass it by--if its for something petty then I'll consider it.

Ultimately it's up to you on whether to buy the item or not. They're taking a chance on you as well, although not as much of one, lol.

When ever you bid on eBay it is just like biding at an auction. No you are not losing money unless you have the highest bid and you win the auction. Also I'm pretty sure it's safe because I know some people who have bought off there.

Look at there rep and if its good then bid on it, good is usually if they have 300 or more transactions with 100% positive feedback. And what you do is click on "place bid" then it will ask for your max bid and put the biggest amount of money you are willing to pay for that item and if someone bids above the current bid but below your max bid, it will automatically make you bid a dollar more until it reaches your max bid. Also watch out for shipping costs, sometimes shipping can add another 30 dollars depending on the item/seller.
