Okay so I want to get rid of negative people in my life and I want to start off by deleting some contacts on Skype. Will they know if I deleted them? Will I be removed from their contact list? How does it work? Thanks in advance!

right click on the contact and select "Remove from contacts".
Also you can additionally block them by right click and "Block this person"and then delete them by "Remove from contacts".

right click and prese remove from contacts. yes that little bubble next to their status (green, red, yellow, or empty) will turn gray with a question mark. and it will say this person has not shared contact details with you.

They won't know if you deleted them on skype! Unless they search you on their Skype. And yes you will be removed on their contacts list! But why worry about what they think of that ?! Its your life, live it & enjoy it!
