Ebay Question??help thanks? - New - 04-08-2014 07:11 PM

What does this mean The insurance is $1.50 and is built into the shipping cost. So when you buy the jacket the invoice will already include the insurance. The jacket is $64.00 Dollars so will it be an addictional $100? Thanks

Where does $100 come from?

First, the insurance covers the seller, not the buyer & making the buyer pay for it is not professional.
As for the $100.00, sounds as if the value of insurance covers up to $100.00, whoever wins the auction would pay the bid price + s/h that's shown. Sellers can't add fees beyond the bid & shipping/handling fees. The cost to add up to $100.00 insurance is currently $2.05, that may help determine what the seller is charging to ship. As a general rule i only add insurance on sales of $200.00 or more or for fragile items. Since it covers me when i'm selling i pay for insurance, not the customer.
