All right guys, this is embarrassing.. I'm 16 and I haven't a clue what this means! I see it on twitter on facebook and things like that, but i cannot fathom what it stands for. Please, I beg of you, enlighten me :L

Typing "(Y)" on MSN Messenger is the shortcut to a "Thumbs Up" emoticon.

A lot of people type "y" in order to say "why?"
