Is bargainroom.com a legit and safe website? - agreeabledirt469 - 04-08-2014 07:12 PM

Are bargainroom.com and zbiddy legitimate and safe websites to use?

I can't answer that. Though I can give you a very good rule to follow:

If you don't trust it online, don't shop there.

Although they have owned the domain name for some 10 years, their about info suggests it's only been operational for 2 months, too new to have gotten into the review/scam reporting sites a search of the web returned very few results, just based on it being so new it would be risky, I am not one for penny auctions an other impossibly low prices, I will stick to Amazon.

It's always worth doing a web search for:
"bargainroom.com" scam

Here's their about intro:
"Founded in September of 2012, Bargain Room is a marketplace that connects customers directly with suppliers. Our mission is to provide manufacturers and distributors with an additional channel of distribution, while allowing our users to save on merchandise by dealing directly with suppliers."

Looks like a marketplace/directory much like other operations going after ebay's business, results may vary depending on which vendor you end up doing business with.

Here's a reply from an earlier question (less the links):
"Hello! This is Mike from the Customer Service Team at Bargain Room. I want to assure you that we are definitely a safe site. We use authorize.net, a top rated payment gateway, to handle our credit card transactions and do not store any customer credit card information on our site. In addition to this, every page is VeriSign SSL encrypted (click the logo on the homepage to see our certificate) as shown by the green lock located to the left of the Bargain Room URL in your browser."
