I have a HTC tattoo on orange and for the last month received an unexpected large phone bill, I have not gone over my minutes or texts.I do not have the internet booster. I downloaded the facebook app from the android market and it stated that it was free. Is it only free to download or is it free to use? Could this be the reason my phone bill is high or is it just from me using the general internet browser.
Is the facebook application on the phone free to use? Secondly, are other applications on the market that are stated as free actually free to use, or just free to download?

It's free to download, but any internet usage will come out of your plan. If you're using 3G for your internet access instead of wifi, you'll get charged for that.
