I recently decided to upgrade my internet considering my internet before was only 2mbps. So I upgrade to a new package that gets me 50mbps but on steam when downloading a game I get about 256kbps which was the same download speed when I had about 2 - 6mbps on my old internet. I'm not quite sure what the problem is, but I'd like to fix it.

You might have other devices leaching bandwidth, or Steam is probably limiting download speeds, go to speedtest.net
