About a step up from dial up. Extremely expensive and poor service.

I have not heard of any satellite being fast...but good on certain terms. If you live in the boondocks and that is the only internet you can get then yeah its great! Only problem with satellite is you have to have line-of-sight with your satellite and the one in space which means there could potentially be lots of interference.
