you can use adblock extensions for Firefox and chrome,
It will automatically block all ads and popup's
search yahoo for adblock extensions

look up & get PORTABLE Firefox, ad block plus, skip cert error 0.4.0,
hostman, malwarebytes antimalware , mcaffee stinger, ccleaner
then to override crippled popups go to the fake address = about:config &
search = dom.disable_window_open_feature.* & set all prefs to true .
