Is index.html and no index.html affect SEO? - Stefan - 04-08-2014 07:18 PM

Hello, i`ve created a website but there is something that bothers me. When i write at address bar example.net website opens, also when i write example.net/index.html. I`ve used a website to generate sitemap.xml for google and then i saw 2 pages with same <title> example.net/ and example.net/index.html. So my question is that affect on SEO and can i get punished for it? Thank you.

example.net/index.html. is redirected URL, it is not good for SEO. Rather only example.net/ is better.
