i mean, the amount of time i'd have to put, not how long it takes to install it, but the amount of work i'd have to put in. would i have to work on it for hours, minutes? how many?

It takes about 30 minutes to an hour. It depends if you want a simple site it doesn't take that long, but if you want it to be professional you need to take time and pick a perfect theme for it.

It depends on what you want to create, if you want a custom theme/design, need to find and install plugins, etc. If you want fast and easy for creating a website, I would go with ultimatewb. You can even easily create your own design with it - in wordpress it takes a lot longer to just do that. Plus ultimatewb has so many features/apps built-in, and you can fully customize it without any experience.

It will take one hour to build a basic level of websites using WordPress themes.If you want to build a good websites and themes modification and So on, it will take some hours for good ones which means it should be depending on your website requirements. WordPress is a good cms platform for making ones and also search engine friendly. Go head your website making process with Host gator or Blue-host they are providing everything for you such as domain and hosting , developing c panel.

It depends! If you want to create a basic site on WordPress, it would take 45-50 minutes and not more than that.

It depends entirely on the type of site you're making, and what it will include. How many pages? What features will it have? How heavily will you be modifying your Wordpress theme?
If you're putting serious effort into creating your own Wordpress site from scratch and want to make something that will really look great and function properly, it should take about a month. That month will include research, content writing, theme & site image graphic design work & testing.
