My xbox 360 in taking over an hour to download a 6.37GB game and my laptop in very slow I have xfinity performance and ive reset the router.

That is very odd. Most people would love to have that kind of internet speed. Are those results from speedtest.net? That's a good site to test your internet speed. Is your XBox doing something else in the background?

Your internet speed is first determined by the contract you have with your ISP.
Then it is further determined by the speed that the site you are downloading from wants to download at any given time. This is affected by how busy that site is.
assuming that you have got 14.0 Mbps which is Mega bits /sec convert that to mega bytes/sec MB/sec then to download 6.4GB would take about 1 hr if the download speed stayed the same
