Connecting my Gateway desktop to the internet...? - orota - 04-08-2014 07:21 PM I just bought a Gateway SX2110G desktop computer - my question is this: if I connect it to my internet via ethernet cable to my modem (to identify and connect to my network), will I then be able to disconnect the ethernet cable and still access the internet without it being directly connected to my modem at all times? - Ephemerist - 04-08-2014 07:30 PM Maybe yes, if the desktop has wireless, which from glancing at the web page I think it has... -AND- if the -modem- has wireless, which you didn't mention. Your best bet is to call your ISP tech support. If it's doable then they can walk you through the whole process. |
